¼ cup lemon juice

¼ cup tahini

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

½ tsp. paprika

½ tsp. salt

1 15oz. can chickpeas

2-3 tbsp. water

In the bowl of a food processor or blender, combine lemon juice and tahini. Process for 1 minute. Scrape bottom and sides of the bowl and process for 30 more seconds. Again scrape the sides of the bowl and add in olive oil, garlic, paprika, & salt. Process for 30 seconds, scrape the sides & bottom, process for 30 more seconds. Open drain & rinse the chickpeas thoroughly with water. Add half the chickpeas to the food processor and process for 1 minute. Again, scrape the sides & bottom of the bowl and add the remaining chickpeas. Process until smooth & thick, 1-2 minutes. Most likely your hummus will be too thick or still have small bits of unprocessed chickpeas. With the food processor on slowly add in 1 tbsp water at a time until desired consistency reached. Allow hummus to process between each addition of water.

Once the desired consistency is reached, enjoy the hummus with cut up veggies as a snack!
