Overnight Oats Recipe

January 24, 2019

We all know the feeling of being rushed out the door in the morning! Often times breakfast can be the last thing we think about when we have to get dressed, drink a coffee, hopefully grab some lunch, brush our teeth, get the kids out the door, feed our animal, whatever it may be, the list doesn’t end. Then you may get to work and after an hour you’re hungry, so you start nibbling on the lunch that you hopefully had time to grab. By lunch time your lunch is gone and now what?

What may have been able to break this cycle? Eating breakfast! You know if you had eaten breakfast you may not have eaten your whole lunch before 11AM but, you still don’t have the time to make a nutritious breakfast in the morning.

A great option to save time in the morning and still have breakfast, is overnight oats. The options with these nutrition packed saviors are endless! Start with a basic recipe (below) and add your own delicious spin by adding fresh fruit, flax seed or chia seed, cinnamon, honey, vanilla extract, basically anything! Be sure to include some protein (protein powder or greek yogurt) to keep you feeling full throughout the morning.
