Stingrays Swim Team
The Connecticut River Valley Stingrays, a program of the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center, is a youth swim team that promotes lifetime physical fitness and wellness by teaching the skills and techniques of competitive swimming. We celebrate both individual and team achievements in an environment that develops responsibility, respect, honesty, and caring while striving to serve the needs of the diverse local community.
The Stingrays are coached by Patrick Whalen. Pat has been coaching for over 25 years and has coached every level of swimming from age group swim clubs, to high school teams, and master swimmers. Coach Whalen has had the privilege of coaching one Olympic champion, several All-Americans, and many state champions.
The Stingrays Winter Season runs from October 12th through March 24. Children ages 6-19 are welcome to participate.
