Lifeguard Certification

The Edgar May Health and Recreation Center will be conducting three sessions American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Courses during the Spring.  Individuals 15 years old and up can enroll in the course.

2010 Certification Course Dates:

Session 1: May 18-29th.
May 18th and 21st 5pm-9pm
May 22nd 9am-4pm
May 24th and 28th 5pm-9pm
May 29th 9am-4pm

Session 2: June 5th-June 12th
June 5th 9am-4pm
June 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th 5pm-9pm
June 12th 9am-12pm.

All classes are held at the EdgarMay.  The certification course cost $250 and a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot for the class.

Swimming requirement:  300 yards of continuous swimming and a 20 yard swim and dive to retrieve a 10 lb brick.
