Fitness Classes
Fitness Classes-
July 7th- August 8th
Under the direction of Frank Nobile, the Southern Vermont Health Recreation Center’s Fitness Director a new slate of exercise classes will be offered beginning on March 2nd.
You can choose to take one class per week or all three, or you can mix and match classes. Each class session costs $5 for members $8 for non-members; purchase classes in advance to guarantee a spot.

Bosu Step
With Corrie
Ever take a step class?
Well now we have taken a step class to a new level. Step using the Bosu ball. This is a challenging class that will stretch your balancew, cardio and core strength abilities. A fun and exciting class taught by a new instructor, Corrie Jones
Tuesday: 10:30-11:30 am
Thursday: 6:00pm-7:00pm
Women and Weights with Laurie
The benefits of strength training for women should not be underestimated. This class will lead women through a specific work out to improve strength, balance, and bone density.
Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 AM-10:00 AM
Balance and Mobility Program
This program is designed to work on fundamental fuctional balance and mobility skills that will help in every day activities. Initially all participants will undergo a screening program which will include a Health and Activity Questionnaire ans Senior Fitness Test.
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30am-9:30am
Core, Cardio, and Strenght for Youth
This class is geared towards youth and introduces fitness in a safe and fun way. The class will engage youth in a varitey of activities including strength training with free weiths where appropriate, core training with stability balls, and increased endurance with cardio equipment. This class is lead by Fitness Director, Frank Nobile.
Youth ages 10-13.
Wednesday and Friday- 10:15am-11:15am
Youth ages 6-9
Wednesday and Friday- 9:00am-10:00am
