Group Exercise Classes

The EdgarMay Health and Recreation Center offers 26 group exercise classes per week that provides the opportunity for all ages and abilities to take part in a great class.  For more information about specific classes please contact Fitness Director, Mallory Peterson.

 

Cardio Circuit with Mallory

Learn to tackle your cardiovascular workout without equipment in this 45 minute cardio circuit training class that will burn fat and tone your body. 

Mondays: 7:00-7:45 am; Fridays: 9:00-9:45 am;

 

Total Body Tone with Mallory

Build a lean and toned physique in 45-minutes of total body toning.  We’ll cover cardio, strength, flexibility, and core with minimal equipment and a wide variety of exercises. 
Mondays: 12:00-12:45 pm; Wednesdays: 12:00-12:45 pm; Fridays: 7:00-7:45 am;

 

Core Challenge with Mallory

In 30 minutes of straight core, you won’t feel the need to spend another minute strengthening your abdominals, obliques and back. 
Tuesdays: 5:00-5:45 pm;

 

Beginner’s Pilates with Mallory

In beginner’s Pilates, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the form and basic principles of this lifelong practice for developing a strong core.
Wednesdays: 6:00-7:30 pm;

 

TRX with Mallory

TRX, or suspension training is a unique training method for a full workout incorporating flexibility, strength, core, and cardio.  For an all around tone and fat burn, TRX is definitely the way to go.
Tuesdays: 7:00-7:45 pm; Thursdays 12:00-12:45 pm; Fridays: 6:00-6:45 am;

Women & Weights with Alina

This 50 minute women only class will help you meet your goals by using body weight, dumbbells, balls and bands for a full body burn.
Mondays: 6:00-6:50 am; Wednesdays 6:00-6:50 am;

 

Core and Strength with Mary

This 45 minute class will combine both strength and core training to prevent low back pain and build strong bones and muscles all while increasing your metabolism.
Tuesdays: 9:00-9:45 am; 10:00-10:45 am; Thursday 9:00-9:45 am; 10:00-10:45 am;

 

Pilates with Mary

This is a challenging 45-minute full body workout designed to strengthen the large group of muscles in the center of the body using every-day movements.
Tuesdays: 6:00-6:45 am; Thursdays: 4:00-4:45 pm;

 

Yoga with Nancy

 For all ability levels, this class will include a joint freeing series, flowing sun salutations, floor work and a relaxing finish.
Tuesdays: 6:00-7:00 pm

 

Spinning

This indoor cycling workout utilizes a simple set of movements, hand positions and heart rate training to deliver personal empowerment and unparalleled fitness results.
Mondays and Wednesdays: 9:00-9:45 am Intro to Spin with Maureen
Mondays: 6:30-7:15 pm with Gina
Tuesdays and Fridays: 12:00-12:45 pm with Peter

Thursdays: 7:00-8:00 pm with Joni
Saturdays: 9:00-9:45 am with Gina

 

Kickboxing with Carolyn

Cardio Kickboxing will practice the major punches and kicks to really work the entire body while receiving a calorie-burning cardiovascular workout.
Wednesdays: 5:30-6:20 pm

 

Cardio and Strength with Mary

Kill two birds with one stone with this 45 minute cardio enhancing and strength building fast-paced calorie blasting workout.
Thursdays: 6:00-6:45 am

 

Chair Yoga with Nancy

Perfect for those that are looking for a gentle introduction to yoga.  This class will offer modifications using chair and other props to ease you into the practice.

Sundays: 3:00-3:45 pm
 

 

Payment Options

Memberhip Add-on:

Members of the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center can add fitness classes to their membership for $30 per month.  This add-on allows you to take any fitness class the EdgarMay offers.  Please remember to RSVP for each class.

Punch Pass:

A ten visit PUNCH PASS may be purchased for those who would like the flexibility to come and go as their schedule allows, or the opportunity to attend a multitude of classes; the cost of this 10-Visit Pass is $60 for Members and $80 for non-members.

DROP IN:

Stop in and take any class on a class by class basis.  $8 for members; $10 for non-members
