Member Services 

Join our team at the Front Desk helping to assist members and guest in a variety of tasks.  This position requires top notch customer services skills, the ability to multitask, and knowledge of web based computer applications.  Applicants must be available nights and weekends.

Group Exercise Instructor​

Instructs group exercise classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes all skill and fitness levels. Effectively builds community within class. Modifies class as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs. The EdgarMay is actively seeking a group exercise instructor who can be a leader in developing sound healthy habits with our members and guests through engaging leadership in our classes. We are currently accepting applicants for all varieties of group exercise offerings.

General Responsibilities: The qualified candidate will have the ability to lead a group of participants through a series of movements and exercises in a safe and effective manner. Also the candidate must hold a current certification in Group Exercise from a nationally certifying body.

Water Safety Instructor

Learn to Swim and Water Safety Instructors teach our group and private swimming lessons.  Applicants must possess the ability to teach multi-level classes of varying types.

General Responsibilities: The Swim Instructor conducts swim lessons for members and guests in private, semi-private, and group settings following established facility policies and procedures and ensures the safety of all participants. He or she must fully understand the aquatics program and the goals of the individuals involved in the program. In addition, the Instructor must ensure the safe and clean use of all pools and deck areas.

Lifeguard


CPR and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required.  Daytime, evening and weekend shifts available.  The EdgarMay is willing to pay for the cost of the certification course for the right candidate.

Playgroup Facilitator


A part-time, four to six hour per week position on Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9:45 - 11:45 am (possible afternoon hours on select weekends). The Play Facilitator's role is to create a safe, trusting, collaborative play environment with children and their caregiver(s) at our Studio Momentum on Main Street in Springfield.

General responsibilities: Welcoming participants, modeling caregiver-child interactions, helping children share and interact with one another, guiding positive interactions; support relationships among caregivers; solicit and respond to caregiver questions and requests for information.
