    • Masks may be removed when a member is on a fixed piece of Cardiovascular Equipment such as a treadmill or elliptical.  New as of June 24.

  • The EdgarMay will be cleaning commonly touched surfaces often.

  • There will be strict limits for participants in each area of the facility.  Some of these areas will require us to have you sign-up in advance for a time slot to exercise.  More on that below:

    • Fitness Center- There will be a limit of 20 individuals in the fitness center at one time.  This is based on the square footage of the room.  This will be done on a first come first serve basis.  Front Desk Staff will let you know if the room is at capacity.  Please remember physically distancing at all times.  Some equipment will be taken out of service to maintain 6ft separation.

March 15th COVID-19 UPDATE

The Edgar May Health and Recreation Center will close its doors on Monday, March 16th at 9pm until March 31st.  Even though we passionately believe that exercise and good nutrition offer the best protection against this virus and a great many illnesses, both chronic and acute, we are taking this measure as we believe it is the right thing to do for our community. We did not make this decision lightly and recognize the inconvenience it will cause our valued members and program participants. However, our overarching concern is the health of our region.  Stay tuned for things the EdgarMay will be providing during this shutdown to continue to provide our community with the opportunities and resources to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

What you can do to help:

  • Email us with questions or concerns.  Let us know if we can help you in any way possible.

  • Keep yourself and your family healthy and well. Eat nutritiously, stay active, and get plenty of rest.

  • Follow the EdgarMay on Facebook and stay up-to-date on the latest news.  We will also have daily information on how to stay active and healthy at home.

  • Continue your membership billing as normal.  This will help ensure the vitality of our organization and our ability to continue to deliver on our mission of providing the opportunities and resources necessary for people of all ages to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

  • Follow the CDC and Vermont Department of Health's recommendations.

Be well, Be safe.
